Tongan Feasts

Experience first hand Tongan foods, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked in an underground 'umu' pit. Watch the lovely Tongan dancing & exciting fire dancing, accompanied by a harmonious string band and drums. View, and if you would like, buy local Tongan handricrafts and join a kava circle.

A sumptuous TONGAN FEAST, Wednesday and Friday starts at 8pm during the high season or for large groups anytime, that features traditional island favorites, roast suckling pig, sea food, salads, and much more....... Live and CULTURAL FLOORSHOW youth, a dazzling display of traditional Tongan and island dances. “It’s a fun-filled evening that will bring Tonga home to your heart”. We can host group parties, corporate events, or any special functions! Pre-booking is necessary for advance preparation, as our fridge/freezer is one kilometer away, and we operate on a generator for night events.

A traditional Tongan feast takes place at Hinakauea Beach, Pangaimotu Anchorage 11, every Thursday at 6pm. Tongan dance and a handicraft fair are also featured.
There is another Tongan feast every Saturday at Barnacle Beach on Kapa Island, Anchorage 7. To book for either feast or for more information, contact the Tonga Visitors Bureau VHF 16. Cost is $T30.
