New Airline
On Tuesday 14th Chatman Pacific (The Friendly Islands Airline) proudly introduced and marked their commencement of Tongan services. The Prime Minister of Tonga and few Ministers, guests arrived from Nukualofa to mark this special occassion. A big cocktail party held at Paradise Hotel.
Two aircraft ie. Convair 580 carries 50 passengers and Metroliner aircraft18 passengers will service the major island, Tongatapu, Haápai and Vavaú.
Regular services to Éua and the Niuás will commence once a suitable aircraft is introduced. Services are anticipated to start towards the end of May 08.
Currently an informational website online and this will be updated within a few weeks to a fully functional website where you can find the important information for passengers eg paggage, schedule & fares, secure online booking facilities (available late April), contact information regarding group bookings, charters, freight management and contact details for their team both New Zealand and Tonga.
